MAKING GALAXY POPSICLES COLORFUL
My Galaxy Popsicles are very colorful, as you’ll see on the pictures. Use ripe bananas, cashews, coconut yogurt, or anything light color as a base and then add natural pigments or fruits. Here are some quick tips for achieving galaxy-rainbow-colored popsicles using natural ingredients:
RED — beets (or beet powder), goji berries, cranberries, raspberries, cherries, watermelon, strawberries, hibiscus tea
ORANGE — carrots (or carrot powder), sweet potatoes, oranges, pumpkins, mix of red and yellow foods/ingredients
YELLOW — pineapples, mangos, corn, saffron, turmeric powder
GREEN — spinach, avocado, spirulina, chlorella, wheatgrass, moringa, green matcha powder, mix of blue and yellow foods/ingredients
PURPLE — purple cabbage, beetroot powder, purple grapes, blueberries, blackberries, maquiberry powder, mix of red and blue foods/ingredients
WHITE — coconut meat or shredded coconut, cashews, bananas (use also to lighten other colors—
e.g., mix with purple to make lavender or red to make pink)
BLUE — Blue coloring is the hardest to make. Yes, blueberries are blue, but when you mix them, you will get a purple color. To achieve a beautiful blue color, I use E3Live Blue Majik powder, Raw Nice blue spirulina powder or Thai Butterfly Pea Blue Flower tea
HOT PINK — pink dragon fruit (pitaya), pink cactus fruit
These are just some examples; the possibilities are endless.
Mixing your own colors is like painting and inventing your own color palette. Just have fun and experiment with natural pigments in the kitchen.
Remember that when you add something acidic, like lime or lemon juice, your color will change too.
