
2 cups of organic baby spinach
5 organic grapefruits
4 organic mangos
handful of organic fresh basil
1 inch of fresh organic ginger
½ organic lemon (optional )
Cut grapefruits in half and with the spoon scoop out the meat and juice, place it in the Vitamix or high speed blender. Add mangos, spinach, ginger and basil. You can also add juice from ½ lemon for extra vitamin C. Mix well if is too thick add a spoon or two of pure water. This smoothie has a very refreshing taste and is great in the morning as a pick me up or when you are tired, have a headache or migraine. Basil is a great healing herb and it has many health benefits; helps with digestion, detoxify the liver and the whole body, helps to clean up skin.
